  • Mrs No Overall – event compere & performer. She will bring mess, mischief and marigolds! Think Nora Batty after a few gins!
  • Lady Portia Di’Monte  – one of Northern Ireland’s most celebrated drag performers, known for her dazzling stage presence, quick wit and powerful vocals. A long-standing supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and Pride events, Portia delivers a show packed with glamour, comedy and feel-good entertainment, guaranteed to have the crowd laughing, singing and celebrating together
  • Banda Na Rua – the street percussion band will be bringing the Brazilian beats with modern Pride grooves
  • Jonathon Redfearn – we loved him last year and he’s back bringing his brilliant vocals and singalong Pride classics
  • Drag Queens Mazikeen, Kiki Horsefield, Maya Pinion & InSatiate will be bringing the sparkle, sass and Pride energy with a number of brilliant performances
  • Bongo Dave & DJ Captain Smash – This dynamic duo bring the ultimate party atmosphere, combining feel-good dance anthems, club classics and crowd favourites with live percussion. Captain Smash keeps the energy high behind the decks while Bongo Dave adds infectious live rhythms, creating an interactive, festival-style experience guaranteed to get the Pride crowd dancing
  • Third Floor – live band known for their high energy shows, crowd interaction and dancefloor filling groovers. Get your Pride dancing shoes on!
  • Sass And The Grove – A high-energy soul, funk and disco band known for powerful vocals, infectious rhythms and crowd-pleasing hits. Their upbeat performances create a fun, inclusive atmosphere that will keep everyone dancing and celebrating together

  • Silent Disco – Dance, sing and celebrate Pride your way at our Silent Pride Disco. Pop on a pair of headphones, choose your channel, and enjoy feel-good tunes, Pride anthems and party vibes in a fun, inclusive space for all ages
  • Circus Skills – Step right up and give circus skills a go with fun activities for all ages. Try juggling, spinning plates, balancing tricks and more in a relaxed, family-friendly space full of laughter, creativity and community fun
  • Face Painting – Add a splash of colour and creativity with our face painting station. Perfect for all ages, choose from fun, bold or Pride-inspired designs and get transformed into something bright, joyful and full of personality
  • Pride Art Activities – Children’s Art School Get creative with hands-on art activities designed for all ages. Make your own Pridewear, including colourful headwear, clothing and even petwear, using fun and imaginative materials. You can also help build a cardboard town using boxes and craft materials, adding your own designs, decorations and ideas to create a shared Pride-inspired community
  • Pride Yoga – Take a moment to breathe, stretch and connect at our Pride Yoga session. A welcoming, inclusive space for all abilities to relax, recharge and celebrate community, wellbeing and self-love
  • Pride Zumba – Bring the energy and dance with us at Pride Zumba. A fun, feel-good session packed with music, movement and positive vibes — open to all ages and abilities
  • Puppy Parade – Join us for the cutest event as pups and owners parade in their finest Pride looks! Expect waggy tails, rainbow accessories, prizes, and plenty of community spirit
  • Pink Picnic in the Park – Come bring your blankets, friends and fam, snacks and fizz for good vibes, great company for a rainbow filled afternoon in the sun. Everyone is welcome
  • Smoothie Bike – Power a bike with your own energy and blend up a fresh Pride rainbow smoothie as you pedal. A fun, interactive activity that combines movement, healthy living and a bit of friendly challenge — perfect for all ages to try and enjoy
  • Affirmation Station – Leave a positive message, pick up an uplifting affirmation, and celebrate yourself and others at our Pride Affirmation Station.  A space for kindness, confidence, community and belonging — because everyone deserves to feel seen and supported
  • Pride Art Sculpture – created by local community group Square Pegs will be on display
  • Roaming Noras – street artists / welly wanging competition

 

Sports Zone – Methodist Gardens ( bottom of Co-op park)

  • Huddersfield Town Football Club 12pm – 4pm  coaches from the club will be running ‘keepy up’ challenge.. with a special prize for the winner!
  • Just Hoop Basketball 12pm – 4pm  not for profit local basketball, sports hall and community club will be providing basketball hoops for you to practice your skills
  • Roaming Noras 12pm – 12.45pm  Welly Wanging, how far can you wang a welly?!

 

Around town

  • Chicks on Sticks – Stilt Walkers and Walkabout Entertainers. Meet the spectacular Chicks on Sticks as they bring height, colour and energy to the event. With eye-catching costumes, stilt walking and engaging walkabout performances, they’ll delight audiences of all ages and add a playful, vibrant atmosphere throughout the day
  • Chalk the Walk – Get creative and help us fill Holmfirth with colour, positivity and Pride! Join in with our family-friendly activity — draw pictures, write messages of love and support, and celebrate our amazing community one colourful pavement square at a time
  • Pride Film Showing – Join us for a community screening of Pride, a British comedy-drama based on a true story. The film follows LGBTQ+ activists who raised money to support striking miners during the 1984 UK miners’ strike, building an unexpected alliance between two very different communities. A relaxed, welcoming screening for all ages to enjoy and reflect on a powerful moment in LGBTQ+ and working-class history. – Coopers Yard date TBC
  • Best Dressed Pride Window Competition – Local businesses are invited to decorate their windows for Pride, celebrating love, inclusion and community. The entries will be judged online
  • Community Banners by local young people – Banners designed by young people from local community groups will be displayed, celebrating creativity, identity and inclusion. The designs will reflect their own voices and ideas, helping bring colour, pride and community spirit to the event
  • Design a Pride Poster Competition – young artists from local schools and the community have been invited to take part in our Holmfirth Pride Poster Competition and help celebrate love, inclusion, diversity and community through creativity . The winner will receive prizes donated by the fabulous Holmfirth business community and the winning design will be printed and displayed during the event
  • Rainbow Yarn Bombing – Our Rainbow Yarn Bombing project will transform the town with handmade rainbow creations celebrating love, inclusion and community spirit. Whether you knit, crochet, craft or simply want to support, everyone can be part of making Holmfirth Pride extra colourful this year!

    Free local support for stopping smoking, healthy lifestyles, mental wellbeing, physical activity and health coaching
  • The Base – Free, confidential support for young people and young adults affected by drugs or alcohol, with one-to-one support, outreach, wellbeing advice and help for families across Kirklees.  They will be bringing giant games and fun activities
