Tucked into the beautiful Holme Valley, on the edge of the Peak District, Holmfirth is a Yorkshire town with plenty of character, a fascinating history and a warm welcome waiting around every corner.

There’s something rather special about this place. Maybe it’s the winding cobbled streets, the independent shops, the fantastic food and drink, or the stunning countryside right on our doorstep. Perhaps it’s the live music, the festivals, the friendly faces or simply the feeling you get when you arrive.

A town full of character

Holmfirth has a proud industrial heritage, a creative spirit and a strong sense of community.

You might recognise it as the home of Last of the Summer Wine, but there’s so much more to discover.

Our streets are full of independent shops, galleries, cafés, restaurants and traditional pubs. There’s live music at the legendary Picturedrome, a wonderful programme of festivals and events, and a thriving arts and cultural scene.

Step beyond the town centre and you’ll find some of Yorkshire’s most beautiful countryside, with walking routes, spectacular views and little villages just waiting to be explored.

It’s a lovely place to spend a few hours. Even better, stay a little longer.
